2016 / 07 / 14

Marijampole FEZ Management Company, Marijampole Municipality and Denmark’s leading windows and doors manufacturer “Dovista”, owning such brands as Velfac and Rational, signed investment, land sublease, infrastructure and other agreement regarding development of manufacturing complex in Marijampole free economic zone (Marijampole FEZ). This might be one of the largest foreign direct investments in Lithuania to manufacturing industry in the past 20 years. In the next four years Dovista plans to invest up to 50 million euros and to create around 300 new jobs, while in the long run – to develop the largest manufacturing complex in Lithuania.

AVERUS’ team represented and advised Marijampole FEZ Management Company in intensive and long negotiations with the investor and Marijampole Municipality regarding conclusion of investment, land sublease, infrastructure agreements as well as terms of the investor’s activity in Marijampole FEZ. AVERUS lawyers drafted transaction documents, represented the client in negotiations and advised throughout the entire transaction process. The transaction required non-standard and novel legal solutions which could enable attraction of the investor and its establishment in Marijampole FEZ.

The team was led by partner Povilas Karlonas.
